I mentioned on a previous post that Ian has been sick.  He had a CT scan last week that showed that he had a sinus infection.  Since he didn’t present with any symptoms, I told the doctor I wanted to wait to treat him until he was sick.  The next day, he started with the symptoms so I went ahead and started giving him the medication.  He just continued to worsen.  He started with a fever Friday evening and unfortunately it was a holiday weekend, so I couldn’t take him in until today.  He’s had a fever for about four days and his cough kept getting worse so I started him on breathing treatments.  Poor guy, he hardly complained, just asked to sit on my lap.  Turns out he also has an ear infection and he is resistent to the antibiotics he was on.  So we’re trying another one.  I ended up taking him to the pediatrician because his allergist doesn’t typcially like to treat kids with fevers, though I will take him to see the allergist tomorrow and tell them about the change in meds.  He won’t be able to get his vaccine for a while until he is better.  I would like to get it as soon as we can so we can see if it will work.  I have a bad feeling about him having surgery by the end of the year.  My poor little baby:(
